今回ご紹介するのは、
最高級の紳士服地の作り手として誰もが認める「Cloth Ermenegildo Zegna」。
今シーズンはミルド仕上げの微起毛生地に注目し別注したのは、
循環を意味する「LOOP」という名前の通り、生産途中で発生する余剰原毛を集めて織り上げたコレクションです。
余剰原毛とはいえ、ゼニアの工場ですのでその品質は非常に高く、上品な光沢もあります。
今回の別注生地は、1/2の綾織組織にミルド仕上げを施し、非常にソフトでラグジュアリーな風合い。
ゼニアならではの優雅なドレープ性も特徴です。
目付260g/mと軽量でありながら、ピーチスキンのように微起毛した表面感により、
秋冬らしい季節感も上品に演出できるのも魅力のひとつ。
色はネイビーとグレーの2種類。
それぞれトレンドカラーのグリーンでウインドウペーンを配したのもポイントです。
このグリーンはミント系もほのかな色合いなので、派手になりすぎず、色柄が得意でない方や、
ドレスコードに制限のある方も挑戦しやすいかと思います。
ミルドの程よい生地感が、ドレスにもスポーティにも着まわせるので、タイドアップはもちろん、
ニットと合わせたり単品使いをしていただいても高級感を損なわずに着こなせます。

From 16 August, our Exclusive Fabric Suit Collection is underway.
Each season, Azabu Tailor curates a wide selection of specially commissioned fabrics from some of the world’s most renowned mills. These “Azabu Tailor Exclusives” cannot be found anywhere else – why not have your next suit crafted from one of these exceptional cloths?
This time, we are delighted to introduce Cloth Ermenegildo Zegna, universally recognised as one of the finest producers of luxury menswear fabrics.
Our seasonal exclusive is woven in a lightly milled finish with a subtle nap. Appropriately named LOOP, the collection embodies the idea of circularity, being woven from surplus fibres gathered during production.
Despite being surplus, the fibres come from Zegna’s own mill, ensuring outstanding quality and an elegant natural sheen.
This exclusive cloth is woven in a half-twill structure and given a milled finish, resulting in a supremely soft and luxurious handle, with the graceful drape that only Zegna can achieve.
At 260g/m, it is lightweight, yet the peach-skin-like nap on the surface gives it a refined seasonal character, perfect for autumn and winter wear.
Available in navy and grey, each design features a windowpane check in green – a subtle mint shade that adds modern flair without being overly bold. Even those less confident with patterns, or working within stricter dress codes, will find it easy to wear.
Thanks to the versatile handle of the milled fabric, the suit works equally well in a formal, tailored setting with tie, or styled more casually with knitwear or as separates – always retaining its sense of luxury.
