先月までは暑すぎて秋冬のイメージが沸かなかったと思います。しかしながら気温が落ち着いた今なら思い描くイメージが具現化できるはずです。
まずご紹介はいわずもがな・・・【ツイード】です。
比較的太めの糸で織られるためしっかりとした生地感になります。ラギットかつカントリーな雰囲気がたまらなくかっこいいです。
防寒性と耐久性を兼ね備えた冬の代表格といえるでしょう。
仕立て上がりはガシガシして固い着心地ですが徐々に柔らかく身体に馴染んでいきます。
唯一のデメリットは糸が太いがゆえに糸の間に埃が溜まりやすいので日々のブラッシングは念入りにする必要がありますがそれも味の一つです。

そして対するは・・・【フランネル】です。
ツイードとは対照的に柔らかい風合いが特徴。
生地の表面が起毛しているのでより空気を含み保温性に優れます。
ヘビーウェイトのものは400ｇオーバーで堅牢さも持ち合わせます。
軽いものは250ｇ（サキソニーやミルド）くらいで上品な光沢感、都会的でスタイリッシュな印象に引き上げてくれます。
こちらのデメリットは生地表面が起毛している分摩擦に若干弱くピリング（毛玉）になりやすいです。

Getting Ready for Winter – Tweed or Flannel? What’s Your Choice?

We’re finally starting to feel a bit of chill in the air.
Now is the perfect time to have your autumn–winter suit tailored so you can enjoy it throughout the season.
Until last month, the lingering heat made it hard to imagine wearing fall and winter fabrics. But with the cooler weather settling in, it’s much easier to picture the kind of look you want.
Let’s start with the classic choice — Tweed.
Woven with relatively thick yarn, tweed fabrics have a firm, rugged texture that gives off a refined yet country-inspired charm.
It’s a true winter staple, offering both warmth and durability.
Though the fabric may feel stiff at first, it gradually softens and molds to your body over time.
One small downside is that the thicker weave can trap dust, so regular brushing is recommended — but that care only adds to the fabric’s unique character.
Tweed Suit – from ¥71,500
On the other hand, we have Flannel.
In contrast to tweed, flannel is known for its soft, smooth texture.
Its brushed surface traps air, providing excellent insulation and a cozy feel.
Heavier options weigh over 400g and offer great structure, while lighter ones around 250g (such as Saxony or Milled types) have an elegant sheen and give off a sleek, urban impression.
The only drawback is that the raised surface can be slightly prone to pilling due to friction.
